Code of Conduct
These rules & guidelines have been created for the Foraging UK community. Some are firm, no nonsense rules, some are simple guidelines. All members are expected to follow these rules & guidelines as part of their acceptance of using the forums. In order to keep the forums running well and to prevent problems, please follow these simple rules for the forums here. If you have any questions or problems, please feel free to contact a moderator. These rules & guidelines can be updated at any time, it's your responsibility to keep yourself up to date
1 - Spamming
Spamming of the forums or members is not and will not be accepted. Members caught spamming will be banned from the forum, no exceptions, no second chances.
2 - Avatars
Members can upload their own custom avatars. They must not be pornographic, threatening or offensive in nature. Moderators will use their discretion
3 - Flaming
Aggressive slander, foul language, or serious harassment of other members will not be accepted (otherwise known as flaming). However, Foraging UK supports informal, friendly and relaxed discussion, and in deference to this, acknowledges some tolerance of what we might consider 'friendly banter'. As these forums are often viewed both at home and in workplaces, family language is encouraged. Moderators will use their discretion
4 - Usernames
Members may have one (1) username, multiple accounts or aliases are not permitted
5 - Trading Post
No livestock or other living animal should be offered for trade. No items which are illegal under UK law can be offered. We advise face to face exchanges where possible, but if posting items, please use discretion, registered or special delivery, and we advise no high value items if you are unsure of the person you are trading with. No backdoor selling, we may consider a sales board in future but for now this is for friendly trading only.
6 - Ask a Moderator
If you are unsure if you are allowed to post something or if it breaches any guidelines, simply drop a message to myself or one of the other moderators and we shall respond asap.
7 - Advertising
Commercial advertising of products and services is not permitted. This site is for the benefit of its users, in relation to foraging, wild food, and associated topics. You may plug your foraging course (this can include bushcraft or associated craft type courses at moderators discretion) in the Foraging course section. You are not permitted to spam the recommendations section with commercial adverts for your products. If you want someone to review your product for the forum, you are welcome to contact the moderators, and we can potentially organise a pass around review scheme if you wish to donate a sample product for testing. Again at the discretion of the moderators.
Warnings
You will be given 1 warning for breaching the code of conduct, a second breach may be dealt with by means of suspension lasting 7 days, or for more serious violations a ban from the site. This is entirely at the discretion of the Moderators.
