Hello from Essex on Sea...

Hello everyone. I found this forum via a post in another forum. I have done a little foraging but am very much a rookie'.  So far finds have been limited to stuff i'm certain of, like blackberries, sloes/bullace, wild damsons, ordinary field mushrooms (always very careful with fungi) in the fields and woods, and samphire and occasional shellfish around the coast. So much to learn, and I need to know what I can do with other things like rose-hips, dandelions and also whats to be harvested on the marshes by the sea, where I spend a lot of time...

Welcome you old dog you. Sounds like you're fast approaching that place where wonder becomes obsession, happens to us all sooner or later.

welcome, sure theres lots around you to find, and right to be careful about fungi, a little knowledge is dangerous in that area
