Monstrous hauls of apples this month. As many as I can carry, really.
Greengages and plums coming to an end, although its the first year I can remember picking ripe cherry plums and damsons on the same forage. Again, huge harvests of both.
Some wild strawberries still struggling on.
Once again being beaten to hazelnuts by squirrels. Might be rather a mast year for the turkey oak in the strange little wood up the way from us - not a lot of use for these acorns though!
Pears looking good, none yet quite ready to drop.
Last of the white currants and gooseberries from shadiest spot out in the front garden.
And, obviously, all the blackberries you can eat. Elderberries not as good as I'd hope, but they never are here - for some reason as soon as they ripen the birds of Cambridge get most of them.
And if you want them, guelder rose, rose, whitebeam and rowan all fruiting for all they're worth.
